A synthetic colloidal calcium carbonate is ultra fine particles. It is also treated with fatty acid. It imparts very-high thixotropy for resins on small amount loading because of its very small particle size. It doesn't only exhibit high viscosity and excellent thixotropy as well as other viscosity improver such as silica and organic chemicals but also exhibits an excellent storage stability (longer shelf life).
